Yarn Manafacturing Processes & Supply

F Harding offers a variety of services to the yarn market, below are descriptions of these yarn manafacturing processes, to the right are a selection of end uses to indicate the wide range of applications yarn processing supports:

Twisting

  • Single end and multi-end, 'S' and 'Z' directions
  • 2:1 twisters producing package sizes of 4 – 17kgs
  • Ring spinners producing package sizes of 9 – 10kgs
  • Light weight twisting from 78 DTEX
  • Heavy duty twisting from 10,000 DTEX to 200,000 DTEX
  • Twisted on to a wide variety of tube and cone sizes
  • Including dye spring tubes for package dying of yarns
  • Flexible manufacturing enables us to always meet customer demands

Re-winding

  • 100g to 16kgs package sizes
  • Re-winding on to a wide variety of tube and cone sizes
  • Including dye spring tube for package dying of yarns

Heat Setting and Dying

  • Steam setting on package sizes up to 5 kgs for improved yarn stability
  • Yarn dying in any standard colour and colour matching facilities available

Laboratory

  • Climate controlled, dedicated testing laboratory
  • Tensile testing up to 2,500 kgs
  • All results held electronically for an indefinite period (minimum of 5 years)
  • Certificates supplied for all batches tested

  • Our Langley site Nr. Macclesfield, Cheshire provides over 50,000 sq ft of warehousing space
  • We hold your stocks ready for call-off, thus enabling you to purchase feed yarns in economic quantities
  • Generous loading and un-loading facilities means we can rapidly deal with receipt and despatch of goods
